MARCY GALINSKY, M.D.
I am a board-certified family physician, and have been practicing medicine in South Florida since 1985. I completed medical school at UMDNJ/Rutgers Medical School in 1982 and my family medicine residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1985.
I began my career in Homestead, Florida and moved full time to Miami in 1992. My practice includes many long-term patients from the Homestead community and has grown to include many Miami residents, as well. I provide care for patients 12 years of age and older.
I am committed to long-term relationships with my patients and believe that this is the heart of family medicine: knowing people over time and helping with all of the stages of life. Staying healthy and preventing illness is my focus. I am committed to personal fitness and encourage my patients to make healthy lifestyle choices.
I have maintained staff privileges at Baptist and South Miami Hospitals continuously since I moved here and have served at Baptist in several capacities. I am currently the Associate Chair of the Family Medicine Committee, am a long-standing member of the Doctors Advisory Committee and also serve on the Medical Ethics Committee. I was a member of the American Diabetes Association Conference Planning Committee for its annual Diabetes Conference in South Florida for over 15 years. I love teaching and have been a voluntary assistant professor in clinical skills for the University of Miami Medical School and precept first and second year medical students.
Our mission is to provide excellent service to our patients, and we strive to create an environment where all staff members understand the importance of treating people with respect and warmth.
In 2003 I was joined by Susan Yahia, DO, an internal medicine physician who shares my philosophies. Together with our staff we create an atmosphere of support and compassion, with a goal of providing the finest health care for you and your family.

SUSAN YAHIA, D.O.
I am a board-certified osteopathic internist and have been practicing in South Florida since 1994. I graduated from Nova-Southeastern University - College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1991, and completed my residency training at UMDNJ in Union, New Jersey in 1994. I am also board-certified in Functional Medicine through the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine. I practiced in Coral Gables, Florida until 2003, when I moved my practice to Kendall and joined Dr. Marcy Galinsky, with whom I share many values and a philosophy of how to conduct a medical practice.
Over the years I have developed many long-term relationships with patients and in many cases, with multiple members of the same family. This is the part of medical practice that satisfies me most. I have grown along with my patients. I take a holistic approach to medical care. This in part is due to the philosophy of my training in osteopathic medicine, but also because I deeply believe that when you care for a person you must consider the whole person – in body, mind, spirit and emotion. I work with my patients as a team with the goal of reaching optimum health. Along with this, I strongly believe in preventive medicine, patient education, and encouraging positive lifestyle changes, to include a healthy diet and exercise routine to maintain health and balance.
I am on the staffs of Baptist and South Miami hospitals. I have served as Chair of the Florida Board of Osteopathic Medicine. I teach students from University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine and Nova Southeastern University - College of Osteopathic Medicine. I also assist in the training of nurse practitioner students at NSU and Barry University.
I am married to Dr. Ronald Tolchin and we have two children. I enjoy spending my free time with family and friends.
Providing excellent service to my patients is of the utmost importance to me. Together with Dr. Galinsky and our staff, I strive to promote an atmosphere of respect, support, and compassion with the common goal of providing top-notch healthcare for my patients and their families.

CARINA LORENZA, D.O.
I am a board-certified family physician and have been practicing in South Florida since 2021. I am fluent in both English and Spanish. Prior to joining Drs. Yahia and Galinsky, I completed my family medicine residency at Baptist Health South Florida – Florida International University where I received Family Medicine Awards for both Scholarship and Advocacy.
I earned my doctorate in Osteopathic Medicine and Masters in Business Administration simultaneously from Lincoln Memorial University DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine where I was inducted into the Mu Kappa Chapter of the Delta Mu Delta International Honor Society.
I believe in comprehensive, compassionate primary care, I aim to treat every patient as if they were my own family member. Commitment to my patients for their lifetime is my passion. I practice collaborative medicine and incorporate each unique patient in decision making with the goal of optimal health and happiness with a true focus on quality of life.
I also have participated in clinical research in family medicine with the goal of improving patient care outcomes. I have been published in peer reviewed medical journals and presented numerous posters at both national and international scientific symposiums. In medicine we are always learning, and I have tried to pay it forward by teaching medical students from both Florida International University- Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine and Nova Southeastern University. I appreciate the holistic approach to healthcare and am currently working to complete my certification in Functional Medicine.
